As we all know, there are literally thousands of themes available for WordPress, and while the majority of themes are good, we only want the best for our members here at DNWorld. And so, we've decided that one of the best ways to accumulate great themes is by recommendation. If you've seen a great theme which is WPMU compatible - we want to know!

Here's what we'e looking for in a great theme:

Theme Specification

Self Contained:
All themes must be self contained, for example ratings, page navigation, image thumbnail and upload scripts, all Ajax/jQuery scripting must be contained within the theme structure. As a rule, we prefer that themes run using minimal plugins, or make use of our own plugin inventory (see our tools).

Usability:
Themes must be comparatively simple to setup and use, in most instances we prefer a link included in the theme preview leading to the theme developers setup instructions. Bare in mind, if a theme is coded well, it will reflect in it's performance.

Customisation:
A degree of user based customisation capability is required in all themes, for instance header and colour schema control. As a rule, the more control over customisation the better.

Updates and Compatibility:
All themes you recommend must be 100% WPMU compatible up to latest versions as we routinely test themes on our development server before they are released. If you've seen a great theme you'd like to see here at DNWorld, contact the theme developer and ask them about WPMU compatibility.
